It's My Birthdayyyy

Heyyy guys, its my birthday today! Wohoo! I joined the "do a birthday video shoot" bandwagon this time around but I decided to do things a bit differently and not use the staple number balloons people usually use. Instead I DIYed the numbers using gold paper and stuck them to straws.

I love love love this dress. I got it from a Solace London sample sale some months ago after Fisayo of Mirror Me posted on Instagram that they were having a sale. I snapped up some other goodies and can't wait to wear them. Someone please invite me for events so they don't rot in my wardrobe. :)

White Shirt Series: The Wrap Shirt (WSS4)

We all love wrap dresses, so I'm sure it's no different when it comes to wrap shirts. As far I am concerned, wrap shirts are classy, infact wrap anything (with the exception of skirts because some of the ones I see on Instagram... side eye*). Another reason why this style is so great is that, sometimes buttons can be a such a hassle. It's just nice not to have to deal with that occasionally.

Here's how I styled my wrap shirt.

This look was inspired by Carolina Herrera. She is the Queen of white shirts. Sitting right next to her on the White Shirt throne is Leandra Medine of Man Repeller, she has the BEST white shirts.

Paris: Eiffel Tour

This post is a month late, I got lazy trying to edit these pictures so I abandoned them. During my trip to Paris last month, I went to see the Eiffel Tower since its almost a taboo if you don't go there as a tourist.

Funny story (well maybe not), I bought my top in London and then the shorts in Paris and somehow they matched perfectly.

White Shirt Series: The Sheer Shirt (WSS3)

Hey guys, it's another White Shirt Series post and these pictures have me feeling like I should have been born in the 70s..*boogying down*. Okay back to the post. Today, we are featuring the Sheer shirt and don't we all just love a sheer shirt. Do you guys remember when sheer shirts and blouses where all you could find in the stores? It seemed like they would never go away and honestly, they haven't completely vanished from fashion-sphere.

I think we all love sheer shirts because they are very feminine and sexy without showing everything. They are also breezy and great for warmer climates. My blouse (yes, blouse) is certainly a variation of a white shirt and it ticks all the boxes.

White Shirt Series: The Boxy Shirt (WSS1)

I don't know if it's the lawyer in me, but I cannot resist buying white shirts. To be honest with you, after six straight years of wearing white shirts, I was beyond sick of them. I was just tired. At a point I never wanted to see another white shirt in my life (I know its not that serious) lol. Thankfully, my love for white shirts has been rekindled and we are starting this series to show the different styles of white shirts and how we would wear them.

Contrary to what you may think, white shirts don't have to be boring at all. We've discovered so many variations and can't wait to share with you guys.

The Boxy Shirt

This style is very forgiving. Basic white shirts are usually fitted and cling to the body, however the boxy shirt is the opposite because it has no curve to it. It is perfect if you are having a fat day or maybe pregnant ;) or aren't just in the mood to wear anything fitted

This style goes well with a pair of straight trousers. Honestly, how you choose to style is totally a matter of preference. You can wear this to work with a pair of covered heels or go casual like me.

Look 2

I went for the school girl look here and styled it with a knitted hood (which doubles as a cape) and a skater skirt. I chose a skater skirt to give the outfit structure and I love how it came out.
